The Main Street building is open every Saturday afternoon from 1 - 3 p.m. until October, or by appointment.

We welcome new members and volunteers.

Donations are gratefully accepted to help us preserve artifacts, maintain our buildings, and develop programs for our community..

Cabot Historical Society (CHS) is an independent, nonprofit, membership corporation. Its activities are governed by members in good standing and their elected officers.

CHS accepts gifts and grants. CHS received donations from Cabot Creamery Cooperative that were passed through CCA. CHS received direct support from the Vermont Humanities and from individuals.

Purposes of Cabot Historical Society

To promote respect and love for the history of Cabot, Vermont. To aid its discovery, preservation, and study. We:

1. Maintain and operate two museums with items of scholarly and aesthetic interest, related to Cabot's past.

2. Study genealogy of early settlers and prominent citizens.

3. Study and protect from harm local cemeteries, monuments, historic sites, and archaeology.

4. Help preserve historic Cabot buildings, by research, helping owners, or purchase and restoration.

5. Record and preserve documents, items, and memories of Cabot's past.

6. Publish items about Cabot's history.
