Leader:  Holy God, we have great encouragement from being united with Christ.

All:  We have comfort from His love, and a common sharing in the Spirit of tenderness and compassion.

Leader: You, O God, make our joy complete with the love that calls us to do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit.

All:  Rather, in humility we value others above ourselves, not looking to our own interests but to the interests of all others.

Leader: We gain strength and understanding to answer your call and receive your blessing.

All:  As we worship together in Christ's name.   Amen

Friends in Christ,

God invites us to hold the needs of our sisters and brothers as dear to us as our own needs.

Loving our neighbours as ourselves, we offer our thanksgivings and gifts on behalf of the church and the world.
