What can I give him, poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb;
if I were a wise man, I would do my part;
yet what I can I give him - give my heart.
Prayer of Dedication of Gifts and Self (Together)
Lord, in this world, our eyes still fill with tears at the death,
sorrow, and pain that plague us. Nations are still in dire need of healing. We still feel exiled from the Garden and from your dear presence. Renew our hope that all things will be made new.
Renew our joy as we anticipate the fulfillment of your promises. Help us to live and work in ways that give all people a taste of your love, peace and goodness. Amen - adapted from Dr. Kitty Barnhouse
