Golf Tournament

July 2, 2023

Dear Congregation Member:

After a year being absent, it’s time once again for our annual golf tournament! This year will be our 21st!!

In the previous 20 tournaments, we raised over $150,000.00 towards various church initiatives including the new manse.  A big “Thank you” to everyone who has contributed in any way to make this event the success that it is!  Our last tournament in 2021 provided us with great weather, lots of fun and over $6,000.00.  Hopefully this year will be even bigger and better!

When?      Saturday, September 16th, 2023(first tee off

                       time 8:30 a.m.).  It’s over around 1:30 p.m.

so most of your day will still be free!

Where?     Eagle Creek Golf Course (Port Blandford)

with Dinner being provided as a “Take Home” or “Eat In” by the Musgravetown Fire Department starting at 12:00 p.m.  Plates will be prepared although meats will have to be cooked by you.

Event Information

1.    How can I participate?

There are three ways to golf in the tournament:

A.   Become an elite corporate sponsor and get a free round of golf for two of your employees or family members as well as two free lunches after your golf round.

A corporate sponsor is someone that makes a donation of $250 or more.  Businesses that become corporate sponsors will be recognized at the tournament!

B.   Raise money through our pledge sheets.

With $125 in pledges your round of golf and lunch is complimentary.  With less than $125 in pledges you will pay an additional $30 for your round of golf and lunch.  Pledges plus $30 must equal at least $80 or C will apply.

C.    Just pay a registration fee of $80. The registration fee will include your round of golf and lunch.

D.   If you do not want to play golf but would like to make a donation you may certainly do so.  Donations can be made “in memory of” or “in honour of”.

2.    Prizes

There will be two categories of prizes for the individuals who raise the most money through our pledge sheets.  The winners of these categories will each receive two FREE meals at the tournament.

Category 1 – (Most money raised with Corporate Sponsors)

Category 2 – (Most money raised without Corporate Sponsors)

In order to safely collect donations, we ask that you make contact with individuals before going to pick up their donation and practice safe contact at all times.

Businesses and individuals who might like to donate prizes are eligible to have tax receipts issued for the value of the donated prize.

Golf Tournament prizes will be awarded for/to:
