As a fairly new Parish Councillor, I'd like to introduce myself.
I'm Bob, I have lived in Hellaby for 10 years with my wife Mary. I am the son of a Scottish WW2 Lancaster Bomber Flyer and a Yorkshire lady. I was born in the Highlands and raised in Bramley.
After a good education at Maltby Grammar School I worked in a steelworks chemistry lab before leaving to work in the construction industry for 50 years, mainly running my own company. I spent 8 years of the 1990s working in East Germany (AUF Weidersehen Pet) and eventually retired to Hellaby.
I am chair of the Community group, where I help organise social events. I run the Hellaby Litter Picking Group and help out in the Hellaby Gardening Group. I am the voluntary snow warden for Parkstone cresent. Also, I help my wife Mary with the coffee mornings that she runs fortnightly.
I have joined the Parish Council relatively recently and hope to continue with the interesting work.
