2018 Celebration

This year we decided to replace the traditional Ale evening, with a less formal Celebration gathering.

For the first time ever, wives, partners, relatives and friends including ladies were invited to attend, and several did!

We did away with all the formal speeches, head table etc and changed the evening to not only include a cold buffet meal, Morris dancing by the home side as well as our guests, a video showing of archive films which featured HQMD dancing sides of yesteryear and finishing with a sing song.

As an additional surprise treat, Roger Comley, (Fool for Letchworth Morris, and the Ring-Master's Fool) gave a rendition of a rarely performed fool's gig, (a video of most of which is included on this page). This was warmly received.

To say the evening was a success would be an understatement, thanks to our Squire's excellent organisation.
