Oliver Cromwell
William Tertius Harding was married to the aunt of a descendent of Oliver Cromwell who was Lord Protector from 1653 to his death 3.9.1658. linked here is the longhand tree found in the archives.
Oliver Cromwell was succeeded by his only surviving son, Richard Cromwell who was Lord Protector until forced to resign 25.5.1659.
Initial scrutiny of documents seemed to show that any line went through the above Richard who married Dorothy, dau of Richard Maijor, Major, or Mayor.
Richard’s great grandson, was (another) Oliver Cromwell 1742-1822. He was the last surviving male child of the Cromwell dynasty. He married Miss Morse whose mother’s sister (ie aunt), Mary Bradburn, married William Tertius Harding.
Both Richard and the later Oliver Cromwell lived at Cheshunt Park
Thus
William Tertius Harding married Mary Bradburn whose father was shown as Bradburn of Winchester, so
Bradburn of Winchester had children including 1 and 2
1. Miss Bradburn m Morgan Morse, one of whose children was (a)
(a) Miss Mary? Morse m Oliver Cromwell of Cheshunt Park. He was borne 1742 and died 1822
2. Mary Bradburn m Wm Tertius Harding
The above is not consistent with an article which said that Richard Cromwell had no male heirs although his brother Henry did so the line may have gone through Henry, if at all

This link shows Oliver Cromwell’s descendents and looks authoritative BUT IT MAY NOT WORK - TIMED OUT 10.1.14. To find the Harding connection, after increasing the view by Control-+ several times, do Control-F and enter Morse. This should show “5.3.9.1b - CROMWELL Oliver (b 1742 / † 1821)
(+ 1771) MORSE Mary (b 1744 / † 1831)”. You can work back to the Oliver that was the Lord Protector ie Ruler of England from there. Mary Morse must be the Miss Morse shown in the Harding records here ie the dau of Wm Tertius’ wife’s sister.??
On that basis, the line looks like this:

Thomas Cromwell
Oliver Cromwell was the great – great grandson of Thomas Cromwell’s sister. Her name was Katherine and she married Morgan Williams. The surname Williams was in later generations changed to Cromwell. Thomas Cromwell was Cardinal Wolsey’s fixer/confidante (see eg Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel) and following Wolsey’s demise performed the same service for the king. He was executed following his introduction of Anne of Cleves to the king.
