After 58 remarkable years of serving the villages of Twyford and Ruscombe , Happy Hours will be closing its doors and Kate and the Blue Ladies will be hanging up their aprons.  For several generations of local families, it has been a place of warmth, care, friendship, and learning, giving countless children a wonderful foundation for their early years. The dedication, kindness, and tireless work of the Blue Ladies have made an immeasurable difference to so many lives and will always be remembered with gratitude. Happy Hours has been far more than a pre-school — it has been a cherished part of the community and its legacy will live on through all the  fantastic children and families it has supported and the wonderful memories it has created. 

For our wonderful children the last day will be the 17th of July 2026.  For parents seeking new pre-school options in the area these can be found via the Wokingham Borough Council advice pages at https://www.wokingham.gov.uk/schools-and-education/school-admissions/starting-nursery-or-pre-school

The official last day of business will be the 31st of July 2026.

And as an additional note the Committee would like to say thank you to Kate and the Blue Ladies, who  as a wonderful, kind, generous, hardworking team, makesuch a huge contribution to our families, the Happy Hours Committee thank Kate, Hilary, Julie, Paula, Jean, Gemma, Becky and Fiona for such truly wonderful work, that has had such a big impact to our little people.  There is still plenty of time left in May, June and July, but thank you for your amazing efforts and dedication.
