My Haiku in the Queue

I have twice had my haiku featured in “Haiku in the Queue” (previously known as “Hiway Haiku”), a display of haiku presented in three panels in calligraphy installed like Burma-Shave signs along the ferry line-up on the north end of Vashon Island, Washington. Somewhere I have photos from the first time one of my haiku was used, and I’ll add them here when I find them. But here’s my contribution from the second time, in November of 2025, using the following poem:
