You’re the heat sensing nerve of the church body—the first to detect potentially harmful influences, able to sound an alarm before the body gets burned. You connect what’s happening today to the lessons of the past and can envision implications for the future. You evaluate ideas and actions in the church within the context of all Scripture, not just isolated passages. You have a gift for objective, thorough analysis but tend to neglect the subjective human element and often fail to understand other people’s feelings. An independent thinker who’s not easily swayed by popular fads or tradition, you stubbornly choose what you think is right. You’re also a deep thinker who easily loses track of time and can become so absorbed in your work that you neglect family and friends. You hesitate to step into the spotlight to influence large groups of people, and on rare occasions when you do they don’t respond as readily as you think they should. One-on-one or in small groups you can be persuasive.
Guiding Scriptures: Prov. 16:3 and 2 Tim. 3:16
”3Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.”
“16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”
