From Ken Frohlich

After we moved back to the U.S. from Japan, I retired. Although I loved traveling and visiting my 5 grandchildren, after 18 months I knew it wasn't enough. Having failed at retirement, I wanted to do something new and different rather than the kind of things I had done before. So I began to prepare for an entirely new career. I graduate from Villanova Law School next week and will be sitting for the PA and NJ bar in July. Hope to practice public interest law.

I will attend the reunion.

From Donna Joseph Goldstein

Diane Weinstock Meltzer and I have stayed in close contact through the years and she forwarded your email. It was wonderful to learn about the interesting and diverse lives of so many of our classmates. I commend you for all the time and effort you put in to communicate, organize, and plan for past and upcoming "class of '62" bonding.

My husband, Stephan, and I live in Washington Crossing PA. We're both still working, though winding down to part time - he as an attorney and I as an assistant professor and supervisor of student teachers at Rider University and Mercer County College. We have 2 daughters and 4 lovable (of course) grandchildren who are growing up amazingly fast. We spend our spare time golfing, playing bridge, and cheering for the Phillies.

From Geoff Landis

I grew up in Great Neck. My family lived on Red Brook Road in Kings Point. I should have graduated with the class of 1962 but went away to prep school my sophomore year and lost a year so when I came back I graduated in 1963. So needless to say most of my friends and good buddies are from the class of 1962 as we went through elementary school ,Junior High and all but one year of high school together. I live with my wife Nancy in Port Washington. We have two grown daughters, Jessica age 29 and Brittany, age 25. Nancy is a teacher in the NYC school system. I am in the advertising business and have my own company called Landis Advertising.

Ana Castro Velo

I was an exchange student with an AFS scholarship living with the Weintraub family. It was an unforgettable year in my life because they were marvelous people, extremely generous and loving, and the rememberance of Great Neck and my beloved school stayed in my mind and heart for ever. I live in Uruguay (South America), in the capital city Montevideo. My address is Orinoco 5032 or 5110 (Malvín, Montevideo) Postal Code 11400. My phone number 00598 2613 6090. I was married for 45 years to Raúl Velo but my beloved husband passed away last september. I have one son (39) Raúl, married to Sandra. I would adore to join you in May but it´s a very expensive ticket and I don´t know now if I will be able to afford it. When I read the list at the bottom of your message I felt a strong emotion to see the name of Kenny Schlosser. When I got to the States the Weintraubs gave me a welcome party and Kenny knew so much about Uruguay that we became very good friends. Luckily I´m in touch with my foster sister Barbara and now with all of you and I can assure you that this makes me very happy. Thank you and all my love to my dear classmates, Ana Castro

Some thoughts on the “Memory Quiz”

Average score of 12? That's pitiful.

But those "baby boomers" are probably too young to remembers, as they were born after WW2.

As class of "62" we're all "preboomers"! But was that 1862 or 1962 ?, I can't remember!

This has been around for a while. The first time I got only one wrong. This time I got them all right! I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks.

Passed my driving test in Salem, 32 of 35 (unfortunately my wife got all 35), and a 19 on this test. Two victories over my fear of dementia.

Looking forward to putting together the next B&P…..As someone said (come on trivia fans)…..”keep those cards and letters coming!” And…if you’ve found any of our “lost” classmates, let me know. Finally, the lists below need to be shortened! If you are in contact with any of these classmates, please let them know about the reunion and that I need updated contact information.

All the best from your class correspondent!

In addition, David Haber sent the following bit of nostalgia to share with all of you: "We Didn't Start the Fire" - http://yeli.us/Flash/Fire.html.

Your Reunion Committee is hard at work...and we still need to hear from some of you. It's not too late to say yes....50 years since Great Neck North and our graduation on the football field. If any of you have photographs to share, please send them to me (as jpgs, please). And, for those of you on Facebook, check out Great Neck Childhood: 1960's and 1970's for some wonderful old photographs.
