From Laurel Liegner Endler-Riberty:

One helluva a thing, to try to capture FIFTY years in a half-page, don’t you think?! So where to begin? Family, of course….a wonderful husband and friend, Steve. We’ve been paling around for over Thirty years, through the ups, downs, woes and joys of life, raising three children, who now have their own families giving us the supreme gift of Five grandkids ages one to eight. Talk about pure love and fun,… it doesn’t get any better than that.

I was a Psychotherapist with a private practice and retired four years ago. I loved my career, loved helping people and love my retirement. I can honestly say once I stopped working I didn’t miss it for a second ! And somehow, I’m busier than ever. I’m a voracious reader, avid tennis player (3-5 times per week), a guitar player, student of Buddhist philosophy and, of course, a baby-sitter .

Aging has its ups and downs, no doubt but with it can come some fine wisdom and truths…I like to have a warm, friendly attitude towards all living beings… Patiently accept any adverse conditions that come my way and use them to develop my inner strength and compassion…Since life is just really a series of moment after moment, I practice shifting my thoughts from negative to positive…Appreciate this gift of life every minute…..After all, WITH OUR MIND WE CREATE OUR WORLD…

Thank you for the pictures. I am sorry that I could not make the reunion but I was nearing the end of my 10,000 mile trip around the USA which had been planned before I knew about the reunion. Now that I have retired I will try to keep up with my friends.

Jane deserves our thanks, as well (for the photographs). She did an extraordinary job of capturing the moment. I'm sure you've gotten lots of feedback from our classmates. It was affirming to know that the character and promise we knew from our classmates was reflected in them all these years later. Thank you for keeping us connected.

Fondly, Marjorie

I’m happy to report that I’m “semi-retired” from my position at Alpert Jewish Family & Children’s Service. I’m continuing to work as the outreach coordinator for Children’s Services and organizing the Parenting RoundTables – Q&A sessions on various subjects related to parenting in the 21st century. Having the extra time gave me an opportunity for a 2 ½ week vacation in Italy and a chance to start a remodeling project for my home. New chapters!
