Celebrating Fresh, Healthy, Local Food

· Tuesday, April 22: Earth Day! Bring a fresh fruit or vegetable for snack.

· Wednesday, April 23: Glenwood Night at the Carrboro Farmers Market! Come by the market between 3-6pm for a scavenger hunt, chef-sampling demo, face painting, and coloring. Come see your friends, get a tour, and visit with Glen the Gator! SNAP benefits are accepted at the Carrboro Farmers Market.

· Saturday, April 26: Fresh produce tastings at the Spring Fair, 11am-3pm!

· All Week:

§ Gardening with Mrs. Massengale

§ Tasting food grown in the school garden

§ Gator News Show “in the field” report on fresh produce

§ Learning about nutrition, farming, and fresh food
