Create New Realm For Network
This is done so clients can log into the network without having to use a username or password. You can setup an account in wiana and then force the system to retrieve that information. Adding a user will not make the unit reboot.
Login to Wiana
Click Realm manager
if realm already exists skip the two be
If no realms are created fill in name in box asking for new realm name.
Fill in same information in New Realm Details
Now that you have a realm created you must tell your MeshAP to use that realm to authenticate customers.
Login to Wiana
Click Manage Nodes
Choose Access Point
Click Manage on right
Click show all menus
On right hand side of menu , make radio button on Radius only local
Set Lock to REALM prefix to your new created realm.
Now SSH into your MeshAp unit. Username root, password terra7.
use the command "remotemanagement" to force the box to check into wiana and update settings.
System should reboot.
Now you can add customers to the network and the system will no longer need to reboot every time you add a user or mac address. HINT - On most wireless bridges devices on your network you want to uncheck clone to bridge, so the network registers the bridge device and allows all the traffic onto the network behind the bridge.
Login to Wiana
Click Realm manager
Click edit users
Assign username and password
Either select MAC address of client, or manually enter users mac address.
If you do not have a mac address for the user , the user will have to login via the hotspot web page every time to get online. Some systems allow users to save the passwords so clients can automatically login by opening their web browsers once the username and password is saved.
Now SSH into your MeshAp unit. Username root, password terra7.
use the command "remotemanagement" to force the box to check into wiana and update accounts.
The unit will now have all the mac addresses, username and passwords.
If you do not force the update the system will automatically update information every 30 minutes.
