Miro'

Joan Miro' was born in Spain in 1893.  He studied in Barcelona.  He feels as if he is always in a state of dreaming.  He only paints what he sees.  His art is very childlike.  He's known for his whimsical, magical, fantasy like paintings.  They are simple, and have brilliant colors, and yet there is also a lot of black.  Miro' used to starve himself to the point of hallucination, and then he painted. (don't try that at home) :)  He created 80 paintings and 10 sculptures in his lifetime.  He died in 1983, at the age of 90.
