My Idea of Science Fiction

Renewable is do-able in the house

So I think I know what I want for Christmas. I'll ask Santa for a brand new bachelor's degree, made possible by the tracking and measuring the energy consumption and performance of these homes..of course, with the blessings of the SJHP.

This could be the break I was looking for. Now, the next hurdle to tackle is the transportation issue. I just found out ERAU competes in the EcoCAR competition. So, remebering my visit to the Florida Solar Center http://vimeo.com/32140280 , I now would like to reconsider the viability of V2G ( http://www.igert.org/documents/5 ) or vehicle-to-grid lifestyles as a possible commodity for feasible marketing strategies. Now, if I were to find a study in biomimricry ( http://biomimicry.net/ ) that assesses natures way organic models which evolve and adapt to the ecosystems, maybe I can propose a pilot model for my home/work. Now that's what I call applied science 40001.

So, I downloaded the solar micro grid building code and now need to address Troy Harper's observation about a wind damage to solar panels..especially Emergency Solar Generators. I still have yet to get a hold of the RFiD SME here locally to begin the wireless interface to the home controller. At this point, I'm thinking security, HAVAC, Energy Management, Homecare and Media networking combined into one acquisition unit. The AcU would monitor consumption through embedded application specific program that utilizes mobile-phone scanner to inventory UL data for identifying consumption parameters, which will serve as a baseline for aggregate monitoring.

    1. The Energy management node working the V2G, thermal ventilator, solar power plant and transverter (Transfer switch/Inverter), recirculation pump for optimal thermal transfer (water heater, ventilator). Telemetry to the AcU would track and record environment for adaptive learning, distributive power demand analysis and deployment. This strategy includes fresh-air augmentation with actuation of dampers and air quality.

    2. Hyperbolic Induced Convection strategies and HVAC with condensation harvesting http://texasengineer.design.officelive.com/HVACCondensateHarvesting.aspx

    3. Air purification/waterfall and rainbow esthetics.

    4. Greenhouse component for cistern

    5. Trans-modal paradigm shift from vendor dependence to resource culture and harvesting over a given life cycle. Clean Alternative Fuels Coalition
