ABOUT US
SJC is the resource section for the educators and Master Gardeners working on St Johns County Public School Teaching Gardens. We have a private Yahoo Group, SJCTG (shorthand for SJC_Teaching_Gardens), that anybody working on a project of this sort can join. If you have signed up for the NEFLMG (North Each Florida Master Gardeners) Yahoo Group, you will be comfortable with how SJCTG works - group emails can come to your personal email inbox just like NEFLMG ones do. By signing up for NEFLMG you'll be able to easily use SJCTG.

If you are a Master Gardener in St. Johns County interested in volunteering or an educator or horticulturalist interested in joining the Teaching Gardens effort and the button above does not work for you, contact battled@gmail.com to join the discussion group.
Why to Volunteer. Ways to Volunteer. Fruit Cove Middle School Teaching Garden
If you are a Master Gardener you can earn volunteer hours (and get contact hours for the program). You can come as often as you like - just coordinate your visits with the teachers. If you just want to act as a "guide on the side" and help us with our gardening questions via email or phone, that works for us. Or you can supply the things we might need for activities. And it's volunteer hours booked (without using gasoline) for you.
