"Dr. Stockman!"

April finds Baxter in the Technodrome after overhearing a conversation that seems to point to a tragic and cruel end after he tried to do the right thing.

Baxter's collapsed sprawl gave me so much trouble. I have always struggled with poses like that, even moreso if the person can't fully be seen. I might be able to draw it a little better without April or that coat. And I know April's hair isn't quite right, but she's just been through a pretty harrowing experience, so it probably came out of its usual style. I do love that I found a colored pencil that is pretty much the perfect combination of brown and red, just like her hair is. And I am rather geekily proud of her jumpsuit and her pose.

I have actually really enjoyed having April and Baxter interact in my stories, which is rather ironic considering that April is his assistant in some versions of the franchise but she isn't in this one. I don't know; for some reason they just seemed to click, interaction-wise, when I was writing Exit the Fly. I have no plans for them to ever be anything other than friends, and really, after their canon interactions, to end up as friends is quite a beautiful thing.
