Description:
I started the "Zero Week" initiative three years ago to provide students with early access to content they need in order to be prepared the first day of class. Every course is reviewed by my team prior to publishing the courses on a go-live date every term, and faculty have a checklist of items they must prepare in order for their course(s) to be published by the deadlines.
Objectives:
Help ensure students arrive to class the first day prepared to learn and cut down on the amount of time faculty spend the first week orienting students. Faculty can now dive right into content on the first day rather than reviewing the syllabus, schedule, and policies, as students have already previewed this information well in advance.
