To win the game, you need to do three things.
Score at least 70 points.
Achieve at least a grade of Borderline on all of the Reading Logs* and Essays**.
Pass the Final Portfolio***.
As soon as you can do the first two, you may be ready for the third. That means there is a chance for you to end this game early if you develop the skills before the end of the semester.
* What is a Reading Log? See Reading Log Guidelines.
** What Essays? See Essay One, Essay Two, and Essay Three.
*** What is a Final Portfolio? Every ENGL 900 student must present a Final Portfolio to the English 900 Portfolio Committee in order to pass the class. The Final Portfolio will include your two best essays and a Reflection Letter. The English 900 Portfolio Committee will evaluate these writings using the English 900 Portfolio Rubric to determine if each student passes ENGL 900. This is the big game. I can coach you on your way to this game, but once you submit your portfolio, the game is on. I can only sit on the sidelines and watch at that point. The English 900 Portfolio Committee is the final referee.
