Keysight Spectrum Analyser Training with Tekmark

On 21st July 2022, EMRG team had participate in Keysight Spectrum Analyser Training demonstrated by Tekmark Senior Application Engineer, Ts Mohamad Hafize Bin Ramli at ESERI ,UniSZA. This training consists two session which network analysis were focussed on the first session and second session for material tester. Firstly, he briefing us with a little bit introduction regarding Keysight spectrum analyser evolution and their specialty. Type of mode can be used in this equipment also had been explained by Mr Hafize.

For the first session, he demonstrated us how Spectrum analyser can be use as transmitter and receiver of electromagnetic wave. We also try by ourselves guiding by Mr Hafize to obtain hands on experience on this matter. Next, we learned to use the equipment in frequency modulation mode and an antenna is needed to allow it worked properly. When the equipment in this mode, it can act like radio where we can choose any radio station we preferred. We also learned to use the spectrum analyzer for calibration in both manually and using ECal Module. Mr Hafize always remained us the important of connector care.

Mr Hafize had shown material measurement done by using spectrum analyser. Step for each process in this measurement were explained detailed and we were given chance to work out this material measurement. We got to learn from installation of software, calibration process and lastly how the measurement were operated.
