I've now got a Sevcon G-series (Yes, I fried another controller...). It came with a fader-style POT for a throttle (no more manualy switching between fwd/rev). But completely inappropriate for my setup (actually...pretty much any setup - will fail inside a week). So I modified my Curtis PB-6 with a different pot and re-jigged the mechanicals so I could use my mechanical throttle lever. That keeps the electronics below-decks, and has a much better "feel" for docking. All working well. Now off to figure out which of my 12 lead-acid batteries is fading out...
