LED lighting

I'm starting to convert to LED lighting. Not for any power savings (my usually-blasting stereo is the long pole in the tent...), but I hate changing bulbs. Especially the ones 30' in the air.

I'm trying a supplier - superbrightleds.com and initially just bought a couple of festoon bulbs ($3.70ea) and a light-strip (19.95). Turns out I got the wrong-size festoon, but they are nice and bright. The light-strip is to replace some fluorescents I have. Can't tell yet whether it's bright enough by itself - might have to use 2.

The bulbs are cheap at this source and their service was good, but you won't get any certainty that they are suitable for marine navigation - so if you're concerned about that (remember that nav bulbs have to be in a range of brightness...not too much nor too little) - pay the 10X more! (really?) and get the marine certified ones.
