Lyme Disease and Ticks

• General advice from members: 

1) Call your primary doc or pediatrician and get antibiotics. Transmission depends on a number of factors, including the bacterial load, and whether and how long it was embedded in the skin.

2) Demand antibiotics immediately. There is a 3-pill protocol. Sometimes they hesitate, but don't mess around. Only about 5% of people who get Lyme need more than antibiotics.
