NVDA Basic Guide
Download the NVDA installation file from the official NV Access website: NVDA Screen Reader
Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
You can choose to run NVDA automatically after installation or manually launch it from the Start menu.
To start NVDA, either use the shortcut from the Start menu or press Ctrl + Alt + N after installation.
NVDA will immediately begin reading what is on the screen.
Here are some key commands to help you navigate with NVDA:
Insert + N: Open the NVDA menu.
Insert + Q: Quit NVDA.
Insert + F12: Announce the time.
Insert + T: Read the title of the current window.
Insert + Down Arrow: Read continuously from the current position.
Ctrl: Stop speech.
Insert + F7: Open a list of links on a webpage.
Insert + Spacebar: Switch between NVDA modes (focus, browse, etc.).
Open a document in any supported application (such as Word or PDF).
Use the Arrow Keys to navigate through text line by line.
Use Insert + Down Arrow to read continuously from the current position.
Open your web browser.
Use Insert + F7 to open a list of links on a webpage.
Press Tab to navigate between elements (links, headings, buttons).
Use Enter to activate a link or button.
Press Insert + N to open the NVDA menu.
Go to Preferences > Settings to adjust voice settings, keyboard shortcuts, and other customization options.
Press Enter to save any changes.
You can access the NVDA User Guide from the NVDA menu by pressing Insert + N and navigating to Help > User Guide.

NVDA also supports Braille displays. You can configure these under Preferences > Braille settings.
H: Move to the next heading.
1-6: Move to a specific level of heading (e.g., 1 for Heading 1).
B: Move to the next button.
K: Move to the next link.
Ctrl + Home: Jump to the top of the webpage.
