1. Autonomous Landing with ARUCO Markers: Image processing techniques, combined with control algorithms, were employed to achieve precise landings using ARUCO markers at the destination.
2. Autonomous Navigation and Successful Delivery: The drone successfully followed pre-designated waypoints autonomously, delivered medicine to the target location, and returned to the base station.
3. Cloud Data Integration: A key success of the project was the ability of the drone to transmit operational data, including GPS, acceleration, and gyro measurements, to the cloud in real-time. A web client was developed to allow users to access this data remotely. (See Figure 1)
4. IoT Integration: Internet of Things (IoT) technology was integrated to display flight path data, product delivery status, and the UAV’s precise location.
5. Consumer Applications: The proposed system has broad applications for retailers, online shopping platforms, and product delivery companies, providing an affordable alternative to expensive international delivery solutions.
6. Applications for Rapid Response: The system's accurate localization and autonomous flight capabilities make it ideal for rapid response in disaster relief, security, or military applications, using UAVs for precise and autonomous operations.
