Synopsis

The aim of this course is to provide understanding of the principal of analytical and physical chemistry through experimental work. The course shall focus in implementation of theoretical knowledge of analytical and physical chemistry in performing chemical experiments. The couse shall also focus on implementing the safety measures in using the laboratory equipment, apparatus and analytical techniques, usage of personal protective equipments and the evaluation of chemical hazard and chemical waste managements.  

Course Learning Outcomes

CLO 1 : Show basic proficiency in employing suitable equipment and chemical processes during laboratory experiments (LOD5, PLO3, P4)
CLO 2 : Display teamwork to carry out experimental work and presentation of data using accurate and safe technique and procedure (LOD7, PLO4, A4)
CLO 3 : Propose systematic solution in handling chemical using proper procedures and regulations (LOD17, PLO11, A4)
