This course offers an overview of analytical instrumentation, methods, and techniques used for characterizing chemical systems, while also delving into their theoretical foundations and practical applications. The course's primary objective is to highlight the synergistic benefits of using instrumental methods in chemical analysis. It delves into the crucial aspects of selecting the most suitable instruments for particular chemical analyses, taking into account the characteristics of the materials under examination and the insights provided by various instrumental approaches. The delivery methods throughout the course includes lectures, discussion, test, quiz, assignments and final examination. This is to ensure that students shall be able to correlate and explain the qualitative aspects of analytical instrumentation. The communications and problem solving skills in students shall be cultivated and developed throughout the course.
CLO 1: Describe the understanding of theoretical and fundamental concepts in Instrumental Analysis (LOD1,PLO1,C4)
CLO 2: Demonstrates proficiency in problem-solving, decision-making, and the ability to explain the functions of different analytical Techniques and their practical applications. (LOD8,PLO5,A2)
