Westbrook is a fortress, built on a naturally occurring set of hills overlooking Night City from across the bay and North Oak below. Many of the Corporate rich live here, and they make sure than nothing disturbs them. The site is filled with large homes, parkland, expensive mallpexes and apartments and other things that cater to the tastes of the rich and powerful. Many Goldenkids called Westbrook home.
An Arasaka services contract covers the entire Westbrook area and all Westbrook residences have specially coded identity cards. Seen as a point of prestige, Arasaka have been unwilling to turn this over to Corpsec in general, so they are the single provider of security forces in the area (but act with Corpsec authority). There at several check points on the road into the hills, and surface to air missile sites to make sure all air traffic has the proper access codes. Apex automated gun systems dot the perimeters and out most parks and there are frequent guard patrols on any path. With the advantage of geography, and that their nearest neighbour is the military North Oak, the perimeter security is more subtle than Rancho Corondo – but cross the fences at your peril.
Almost all corporations in Night City are represented in Westrook Arasaka, EBMA, Petrochem and all the rest. Admission to Westbrook is only limited in one way: you’ve got to be able to afford it. In short only only very rich people can afford to live here.
Westbrook is still a very safe place for corporations to place extraction risk employees (provided they are not at risk of extraction by Arasaka). There has only been one extraction attempt in the history of Westbrook, and that left three AV-4’s destroyed and 24 Militech soldiers deal. That was the first and last attempted extraction at Westbrook. Many say that this incident was what had started the long running rivalry between the Night City branches of Arasaka and Militech.
The entirety of Westbrook is considered Corpzone with massive security. In general the revolution advises avoiding it like the plague unless you are a goldenkid with a pass who can walz in.
The most exclusive corporate-owned suburb in the area, EE caters to only the highest ranking Corpzoners and their assistants. Although it’s been nicknamed a “beaverville”, the name doesn’t really apply to this stately sweep of million dollar homes, lush gardens arid parks, huge greenbelts and golf courses, and private AV pads. EE dwellers are among the very richest people of the Night City Area, and have the security and power to make sure they stay undisturbed. A private, Arasaka-sponsored maglev line passes through the edge of Executive Estates, and is shared with the more mundane rich people in the Westbrook area; however, you must have an EE passcard in order to exit at the Estates station.
