Max

She's not actually called Max, but dodges any attempt to get any name from her except for LaserLass' Maxine Maximillian. Your not even sure that underneath she is a she.

A facer who has delved fully into the persona of Laserlass, in their slang: gone full Zelig, and her real face has never been seen.

Max is a Facer

Facers know it’s not who you are; it’s who you play. You’re a consummate actor, with the ability to

Laserlass - Maxine Maxillian

Bold, brash and fearless. Even the young laser lass is prepared to fight against villainy. She might do this more by batting her eyelashes and sweet talking than by shooting with lasers as her TV persona.

Jessica wears sensible clothes, and goes to school and studies, even bats eyelashes at boys occasionally. Jessica sometimes hangs at the mall. In short, Jessica never gets into trouble, never gets noticed, she’s boring. She’s the perfect disguise that nobody recognises as me, kinda like a beaverbrat really.”

Max is an Alchemist

Alchemists can manipulate inorganic matter they are in physical contact with. The skill is based on 3 things:

Disassembly: where the easiest would be removing iron from steel or hydrogen from water while the most complex would be extracting petrol (a complex hydrocarbon) from oil.

Reshaping: changing the form of something, (from an ingot to a bar, a lump to a bullet head, where the most complex would be something like an ingot to an auto-pistol with complex working parts)

Assembly: combining things, where the easiest would be combing oxygen and hydrogen to form water, the more elements working with, the harder it gets.

Max either needs a very detailed understanding or to let their nanites "taste" a compound before they can work with it.

The amount of matter they can work on is based on body type, and max seems to be relatively average, if a little slight, so can probably change quite a bit.

If Max doesn't eat every 12 hours they start to lose assemblers.
