An attribute has a minimum of 0. Humans normally have a maximum attribute score of 7 with an average of 3 (Though most humans have an Knowledge of 1 due to a lack of education). These attributes are used as dice on certain rolls.
Strength (STR)
Strength measures your raw muscle power. You apply your Strength to:
- Dice on Parry Defense.
- Dice on Athletics checks.
- Dice on Strength checks (To break items).
- Damage dice, full attribute on two handed weapons, half attribute (Round Down) on one handed weapons that are not finesse weapons, and no bonus on finesse or light weapons. This includes ranged weapons, though some weapons have limits as noted in their descriptions.
Dexterity (DEX)
Dexterity measures hand eye coordination and reflexes. You apply your Dexterity to:
- Dice on attack rolls.
- Dice on Dodge Defense.
- Dice on Acrobatics, Initiative, Pilot, Ride, Stealth, and Thievery checks.
Constitution (CON)
Constitution is you character's health and stamina. You apply your Constitution to:
- Dice on Endurance checks.
- Half (Round Down) as dice on your base Damage Thresholds.
- Limit of Fatigue Points before problems occur is 10 plus your Constitution score.
Knowlege (KNO)
Knowledge determines how much information you character has learned, including languages. You apply your knowledge to:
- The number of languages you can either speak or are literate in is equal to half your intelligence (Round Down). You automatically know how to speak your native language which does not count towards this number.
- Half (Round Down) as dice on Parry Defense.
- Dice on Craft and Lore checks.
- The power level of spells you can cast from books or scrolls.
Instinct (INS)
Cunning is a character's willpower and common sense. You apply your Instinct to:
- Half (Round Down) as dice that can be dropped for successes on attack rolls.
- Dice on Mental Defense.
- Half (Round Down) as dice on Dodge Defense.
- Maximum number of Hero Dice is equal to twice your Instinct.
- Dice on Heal, Insight, Perception, and Survival checks.
- Power of spells before magical drain occurs.
Presence (PRE)
Presence measures a character's force of personality. You apply your Presence to:
- Half (Round Down) as dice on Mental Defense.
- Dice on Deception, Gather Information, Persuasion, and Spellcraft checks.
- The power level of spells you can weave with innate magic.
