In this age, the world of Doulairen is created by a powerful deity that controls fate. It is an age of raw power, where the world reacts violently to the surges of magic. Volcanic activity, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters are a daily occurrence. Extraordinary items of immense power are created by the small mortal races, who use them to try to fight the more numerous and far more powerful dragons.
Soon a set of artifacts are created using a powerful artifact known as the Forge of Souls. Three blades known as the Three Brothers and two rings known as the Two Sisters. With this, several dozen dragons are slain by three powerful warriors. In retaliation, the remaining dragons attempt to wipe the world clean of life. This apocalypse is successful, leaving only a barren world. Many dragons sacrificed themselves as well, and it seemed likely that all would die due to the lack of life in the world. Their unquenchable rage had led to their demise.
However, the powerful deity of fate created new life for the world and reshaped it into the Second Age.
