New TV lifestyle and business documentary

The Dorset Pottery Group has been approached about a new TV programme - any takers?!.....

My name is Talitha Smith and I’m an Assistant Producer at television company Pi Productions. We are developing a new lifestyle and business documentary and I am hoping this opportunity may appeal to some members of the Dorset pottery group. If you could help us spread the word we would be very grateful?

You may possibly remember me when I previously contacted you looking for potters and ceramicists to take part in the BBC’s “The Great Pottery Throw Down.” I am now working for a new television production company run by John Silver, who created programmes such as “Grand Designs.”

This new documentary series will follow people who are relocating to start a new life and a new business. Ideally this would be a lifestyle business, for example, it could be a B&B by the sea, an artisan shop, a country pub or hotel, or even a caravan park, farm or cattery.

We are also very keen to hear from people who are planning to set up a cottage industry or craft business, possibly from home. It would be fantastic to include a story about a potter relocating to pursue their passion and turn it into a local business. The key thing is finding people who are moving for a lifestyle change.

We are looking to hear from people this week and only need to have a no pressure informal phone chat at this stage. All enquiries come through to me directly on 0203 761 4522.

I have attached a flyer for consideration. Would you be able to circulate to members and possibly post on social media?

Thank you very much for your time. I look forward to hearing from you.

With best wishes,

Talitha Smith
