I have recently started to explore ceramics as a medium and am fascinated by the possibilities of printing techniques on clay surfaces.

I find inspiration from the native flora seen when on walks in the local area with my dog, Dexter; I love the shape and patterning found on leaves, twigs, wild flowers and seaweed. Currently I am exploring pressing organic matter directly into the clay and making pieces from these.

I work with porcelain paperclay – porcelain with fibres of paper within the clay body which gives the unfired clay greater flexibility and a lightness to the finished pieces. I also make bowls and tiles from stoneware.
