Bill is one of the Upwey Potters, based at the Upwey Old School Village Hall, next to the Wishing Well Café, between Weymouth and Dorchester.
Bill uses ancient pottery as a source of style for his own wares. In addition to authentic replica pottery, which he sells mainly to archaeologists & museums, he produces thrown pottery inspired by his researches into prehistoric collections.Bill tutors Monday and Tuesday Evening Classes and runs workshops at the Village Hall – see the website for details and dates.Bill is now masterminding the construction of a new wood-fired kiln - named "Woden", which will be available for all potters to use together with the building team.
