Be careful with file names:
Avoid using special characters (e.g. # ? * % @ etc) when you plan to upload assignments, taking tests/quizzes or posting in the discussion board
Keep file names short and concise as possible
Files uploaded to Blackboard by an instructor cannot be modified in Blackboard, you’ll need to first download the file to your computer:
Right-click on the link of the file
Select Save, Save As or Save Target As (option depends on your browser)
Printing files directly from Blackboard usually include ALL of the navigation buttons and tabs:
Download a file to print it, OR
Right-click the file link and select Open in a new window
Troubleshooting Blackboard:
If you experience a technical issue using Blackboard, the first thing you should try is switching to a different web browser since no two web browsers will display a web page exactly alike. The latest, most stable version of any web browser is highly recommended. Visit the Browser Download webpage for a link to download the most common web browsers.
If you are unable to open or view a particular item in Blackboard, you may not have the software that was used to create the document, graphic, video, etc. and may need to download the a plug-in in order to view the material. Visit the Plug-in Download webpage for a link to download the most common plug-ins for free.
Visit the known issue page to be sure it isn't an issue that Blackboard is already addressing.
