Avatar/Profile Picture

To make your Blackboard experience more personal, or to help "put a face to a name" in an online or remote course, you can upload an avatar (profile picture) that will display in interactive areas such as discussion boards, blog entries, wiki pages and more.

To do so, follow the steps below:

• 1. Login to Blackboard via web browser

  2. Click on Your Name from the left main menu

  3. Click on the Pencil icon within the photo displayed

  4. Click Upload New Profile Picture *Note that the recommended pixel size is 150x150. Images of other sizes may appear distorted.

  5. Optional/Encouraged: Change privacy settings so others in your class can see your photo, not just your instructors.

Your Profile Page is also where you can update your preferred name, adjust notification settings and link to external cloud storage accounts. To link to your campus OneDrive account, do the following:

• 1. Under Personal Accounts, click Add Accounts

  2. Select OneDrive for Business (not OneDrive)

  3. Sign in using campus credentials
