RLV, or "Restrained Love Viewer," support is available in the latest versions. This functionality is available to users using a viewer that supports the Restrained Love Viewer (RLV) API (formerly known as "Restrained Life"). These viewers provide greater control over the avatar for scripts such as this HUD, well beyond "forced" scenarios. Both the Firestorm Viewer and Phoenix Viewer supports this, but the viewers provided by Linden Labs do not. Take a look at the right, and you'll see how to activate this feature from the preferences menu of the Firestorm viewer.RLV enables several additional features of the Deciduan HUD, namely:Changing Shapes
Forced sit/unsit (akin to a collar)
Restrain (prevent a sitting partner from teleporting away)
Locking your partner's HUD
The collar-like functions are enabled when a partner has activated her (or his) "submissive" mode. While coupled with a submissive partner with RLV, you'll see a "Control" additional option when you click on your HUD. Clicking it will activate a dialog with the following options:
Sit
Lock/Unlock
Restrain/Unrestrain (if your partner is sitting)
The Sit option will cause your HUD to scan for nearby sit targets within 5 meters and output a list of what it finds. A list of results will appear to you privately. For example:
1 - Sofa
2 - Bar stool
3 - Day bed
You can force your partner to sit on one of these targets (say, the bar stool) by saying
/73 2
You can continue to use that list to specify new sit targets. E.g., if you forced your target to sit on the bar stool and want to move her (or him) to the day bed, just say
/73 3
Your partner will stand briefly, then sit on the day bed.
If your partner is sitting, you can use the Control menu to Restrain her (or him). This will prevent your partner from standing or teleporting away.
Finally, you may find that you wish to Lock your partner's HUD so that it can't be removed (at least not without logging out and deactivating RLV). If you do so, only you may unlock it. If your partner has an encounter with someone else, and that person tries to lock her HUD, that person will receive a message stating that the HUD is locked by someone else. Note that, as of version 5.0.0.0, locking is context-specific. See Locking for more information.
