Contexts are an advanced role-playing feature for avid users of the Deciduan HUD.Generally, the HUD represents one set of reproductive parts. You carry them with you wherever you go. This doesn't work very well if you role play in different places, role play a different scenario with different partners, or are a completely different creature in a particular sim. However, since your configuration and state are saved across HUDs to facilitate upgrades, simply maintaining a collection of HUDs won't work well.To facilitate this, the Deciduan HUD supports the notion of contexts. You can tell the HUD that when you enter a particular region (sim), that it should restore your state as of the last time you were there; these are called region contexts, and you can have up to six. You may also create up to two additional non-region-specific contexts named as you like (e.g., to use with different RP partners). You always have one context called "default", which may not be deleted. To use contexts, click on the HUD for the main menu and select the "Context" button. You'll receive a dialog that indicates which context you're using. The first row of buttons *may* contain these options:Region - Create a new context for this region/sim, or activate one you've already created for this region (in case you switched out of it). This button will not appear if you already have six region contexts and you are not presently in one of them.
Delete - Delete the current context. For safety, you may not delete a region context when you're in that region, nor may you delete the default context.
New - Create a new custom (non-region) context. This button will not appear if you already have two custom contexts.
Below that row will appear your custom contexts, and the remaining rows will contain the names of region contexts (preceded by a '*' to differentiate them).Region context switching is automatic. If you have a region context for the region you've just entered (e.g., via teleport), it will automatically activate. When you leave that region, the HUD will restore your most recent custom context (or the default context, if that's what you were using before you entered the region). If you move between regions for which you have region contexts, the HUD will remember what the last non-region context was and restore it once you're out of those regions.
Note that contexts are most useful to female or herm users, but males can still utilize them to control their configuration attributes, such as submissiveness, auto-couple partners, etc.
