Many thank yous as well as continuing thoughts of gratitude for the individuals who located photos and willingly shared them with our Rugby Family; your photos are indeed the catalyst of this website:
Foremost, a special thank you to Sheila Weber who provided us with the first team photo of Rugby in Dubuque. Sheila did this on short notice for our 40th Anniversary in the fall of 2011.
As well, Shelia is the original First Lady of Rugby in DBQ—she is married to the very first President of Dubuque Rugby, B.J. Weber.
Moreover, we are especially thankful to Dick & Lin Rusk whose personal photo album of DBQ Rugby has been an invaluable resource for the birth of our OldBoys website. Both Dick & Lin took numerous photos posted among our site.
Additionally, we are very grateful to the following Ruggers & Supporters for contributing photos from their Rugby albums: Don & Cheryl Rusk; Mike & Liz Weber; Congo, Char, & Katie Meyer; George Nauman; Dave Schlueter; Ron Pole; Terry Funderburk; Lauren Schromen; &, Mike Keating (Mike, an OldBoy and professional photographer, took & shared free of charge superb photos of the 40th Anniverary Match in 2011).
A special thank you to Judie (Erschen) Kelley who responded to email requests for photos of her departed husband Gary Erschen, our "Gentle Giant" and friend who was welcomed to Heaven in December of 1999.
Most recently in March of 2016 Mark Eddleman, younger brother of DBQ Rugger Terry Eddleman, emailed a batch of Rugger photos for our 1970's Gallery—thank you Mark. More of Terry's presence on our site is certainly appreciated as Terry's spirit lives on in within his family, especially Mark's heart, and in ours.
Lastly, if we forgot to thank anyone—our apologies with a sincere thank you from the depths of our Rugby Hearts !
Cheerz, Jungo
Above on the far right is George Nauman. As far as someone who played a match from start to end, George was a player who epitomized being in shape and someone who could always be counted on to play home matches yet more importantly, travel for away matches. He played in the 70s, 80s, & 90s. We salute you George for your efforts on the pitch and contributions to DBQ Rugby throughout the decades.
And yes, above on the far left is the hard hitting Forward
Jack Specht and the lightning quick Back Jeff Ryder in the middle.
Below in the middle, George the bearded disciple of DBQ Rugby.

and to George's left: Donny Rusk, Tim Obrien, and another Oldboy (?) Help me out Ruggers ~
