Olympic Free Style wrestling: USA vs Romania in a path for 20-year old USA Wrestler Kennedy Blades, a native of the Chicago area wrestling at 76 kg (167 Ibs), who in the end earned a Silver Medal at the Paris Summer Olympics 2024.
Blades lost to a Japanese wrestler in a close 3 to 1 score in the Gold Medal match — herein the USA vs Romania video is a stellar example of a suplex launch — Kennedy's stunning throwing technique has been felt and appreciated worldwide.
Kennedy indeed, blends technique, assertiveness, and tigress-like athleticism among her Olympic grappling style as well as bringing her notable brand of grace and elegance to the sport of female wrestling.
Blades will be a student athlete at the University of Iowa and member of the Hawkeye women's wrestling team this coming 2024-25 season under the leadership of 2nd-year head coach Clarissa Chun: — a former London 2012 Olympic-Bronze Medal Winner — former assistant USA Olympic coach — as well as being named to the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Class of 2022.
The coaching for Blades has largely been attributed to "Izzy Style Wrestling," being that of Israel Martinez and his family of the Chicago area — which has played a huge role in Kennedy's success at earning her way to being an Olympic Silver-Medal recipient.
Note: For Romanian wrestler Catalina Axente, a two-time Olympic Bronze winner — and concerns for a spinal cord injury — the Romanian Athletic Committee released in a statement: "It seems that there is no spinal fracture, thank goodness because it seemed very serious." So, it appears to be at this point among post-neck injury, there is no obvious fracture nor nerve damage and hoping no concussion because initially — Catalina's head also impacted the mat abruptly with speed and power when landing awkwardly and thus dangerously on the mat.

World Rugby — USA Rugby Tackle Height
Law Variation — Midwest Trial
The Green shade among the first graphic below is the targeted contact zone among open play, and open play in Rugby can include the following factors: higher speed — space — high collision point — high force contact. Thus, collisions and force are applied to a Sir's/Referee's discretion when making a call for a penal/illegal tackle via the Sir's subjective lens — and if the ball carrier is a contributing factor via lowering the head/duck unders, etc. Yes, was the Sir at a decent enough angle to even see if the tackle was permissible and not a potential infraction (?) — see the 2nd graphic below concerning the TACKLER & BALL CARRIER.
Check out the link immediately below for a somewhat local and mostly international in depth conversation about said topic — soaking up worthwhile takeaways:
Authentic riverboat steamer named Dubuque carrying gamblers and others on the majestic Mississippi River in 1923 soaring north past the area known as the Point—before the DBQ Iowa Lock & Dam & Eagle Point Park were even close to being in existence as community resources—assisting & beautifying the area.

President Dave Schlueter, who passed in April of 2017. For many decades,
Dave was the heart & soul of Rugby in DBQ; Skeeter lives in our hearts forevermore.
