Hall of Fame 2016 Inductee:

John Jacob "Jay" Berwanger,

Honorary Member of the Dubuque Rugby Club, was

unanimously inducted in 2016 to the Dubuque Rugby Hall of Fame.

Jay played Rugby in Illinois for the Chicago Rugby Football Club in 1938.

John H. is a former: New York Athletic Club coach, Georgia Tech coach, and

Clemson coach given credit for developing the center snap to the QB, the pulling guard,

and sending in the junior varsity to party-hearty the night before a big game in an effort to

mislead opponents to thinking it is the starting side who will attempt to play with a hangover ~
