Q. The game doesn't let me make an account!

A. Most likely, the biggest mistake people make when creating an account is using characters that are not allowed. Only lowercase and numbers are allowed in your username.

Q. I can't log in!

A. It's likely that the servers may be down, but you should check that you're on a stable network first. Also, try relaunching the game if that helps.

Q. I can't upload a chart! It gives me errors...

In most cases, it means your level.json has some kind of problem. First, make sure the format is correct and you aren't forgetting any commas and such. If you can't exactly figure it out, ask on our discord server in #feedback-and-issues.

Game Troubleshooting

Q. How do I import levels?

A. It depends on the device you're on, but:

iOS:

1. Go to cytoid's website
2. Pick a level of your choice
3. Click "Download"
4. Wait until the blank page fully loads
5. Click "Open in Cytoid"
6. Cytoid will automatically extract the files for you

Android:

1. Go to cytoid's website
2. Pick a level of your choice
3. Click "Download"
4. Wait until the Download Manager downloads the Level
5. Click on the "Download Completed" Card in Notifications
6. Cytoid will automatically extract the files for you

Q. The converter doesn't work!

A. Lumi will answer this for you: Read the readme.txt. If it still doesn't work, ask a question at #feedback-and-issues.

Q. Is there a way to change note size? Or the color of the notes?

A. Yes! Go to settings and choose the note size of your liking. Please do note that hitboxes are unaffected.

For colors, read our Settings guide. If you want a color scheme similar to Cytus 2, here it is:

Q. The notes are so hard to hit!

A. If you are on a mobile device, such as a phone, turn on larger hitboxes. It makes notes much easier to hit but might be a pain in the ass on slow or dense charts.

Q. The song isn't in sync with the chart.

A. If your song isn't in sync with the chart, and always hasn't been, you need to correctly offset your device. You can do this with a little bit of trial and error. First turn on your "Early/Late indicator" and:

• If you are getting a lot of early hits, add -0.05 to the existing value "Main note offset" section. If you are getting a lot of late hits, add 0.05 to the existing value "Main note offset" section. When you are close to being in sync but isn't all the way there, try removing/adding less than 0.05.

If all of the other charts are in sync but not one in particular, use the "Relative note offset" section in a similar way to what was described above.

Q. Hmm, this is weird, it says there is no app that can open the file...

A. In that case, you need to extract it through file manager. First, open your file manager and go to your internal storage. You should see the folder "Cytoid". Click on it, and move the .cytoidlevel file into the file.
