Leaving a legacy using good data management

Angie Reed, Victoria Flowers and Cynthia Annett

9:00-10:30 am Weds 2/28

Objective: This session will guide attendees through creating data management goals that consider project workflows and data “end-products” that allow their data to be used as far into the future as possible. Best practices for data management activities will be shared, and considerations for data stewardship and sovereignty will be discussed during this interactive discussion and work session. Everyone will have an opportunity at the beginning to share the data management struggles they face, how they are trying to resolve them and what would help them better do so. Attendees will develop a summary of their current data management activities and a process for putting this into an action plan.
