Condition of cold thumb treatment

Case treated August 2012

Treated a client with an unusual condition of “cold thumb”, which developed as a result from an injured from playing racquet sport.  The injured caused the tendon of the thumb to swelling and somehow compressed the thumb’s blood vessels.

As a result, the client suffered constant phenomena of "cold thumb". Treatment involved working on the client’s forearm combined with acupressure points.  The outcome was more circulation to the thumb, eased of pain, reduced swelling and thumb warmness returned.

This condition will heal after a few sessions and also depending on the natural healing process of tendons (usually takes 1 to 3 months).
