This Thursday's Den Meeting was all about Sky is the Limit!
Our Tiger Scouts shared that Buzz Aldrin was a scout and learned about our local Scout-Astronaut, Mike Fincke. He's from Emsworth and holds the record for time-spent-in-space by an American Astronaut. Many of his personal belongings from space are on display at the Carnegie Science Center.
We also looked through a free app called SkyView Free and saw images of the planets, satellites, and constellations. I brought a rinky-dink pair of binoculars for the Tigers to try to focus and we finished up by creating our own constellations. Toilets, Pokemon, animals, and trucks all made their way into the stars.
Two skits -- The Invisible Bench & The Viper -- were practiced and will be practiced again next week for our Pack Meeting.
We're unofficially done with Tiger Scouts this Scouting year. We'll use the rest of the time to make up any Adventures needed by your Tiger, participate in Pack activities, and help to plan the end of year celebration banquet.
Pack Activities include: the spring camping trip, Scouting for Food, Earth Day clean-up, soccer field readiness and clean-up, park clean-up, and Blue & Gold preparations.
If your Tiger has not completed all of the Required Adventures + 1 Elective Adventure, reach out to me so that you can help your Tiger complete those tasks.
