Bear Den: December & January Meeting

Hey Bear Den!

A LOT has happened since the last entry -- all of December and all of our December Den Meetings. 

In December we had our Christmas Party Pack Meeting. There we received our Pinewood Derby cars, had a special visit from Santa Claus, got to throw a pie in Cubmaster Nick's face if you made your Popcorn goal, and finally, but maybe most importantly, collected items for the troops overseas thanks to Officer Deems of the Wolf Den. 

December also saw our Pack participate in the Washington Christmas Parade in downtown Washington. The kids got to walk or ride the length of the parade route and throw out candy to the on-lookers. 

After the parade and Christmas Party Pack Meeting, our Scouts and leaders enjoyed the holidays with their families. 

January 3rd and 10th brought us back to our Scouting schedule of den meetings and Adventures. The month of January is to be used to catch up on Baloo the Builder, Duty of God, Paws for Action, Cyber Chip, and building of your Pinewood Derby cars.......and any other Adventures your Scout might have completed over the holiday break. (Please make sure your Scout completes his Cyber Chip if he hasn't already! The 20 minute video can be found here.)

Notably, PAWS FOR ACTION was completed as a DEN on January 10th. Also, MARBLE MADNESS was voted on to be the elective completed as a Den at the meetings. 

PLEASE SAVE YOUR ALDI, AMAZON PRIME, AND ANY OTHER CARDBOARD BOXES.....AND PAPER TOWEL AND TP ROLLS!

Parents, lastly, we're ONE MEETING away from filling our marble jar. The pizza party is within reach this year!!
