Hey Everyone,
Here's some more info on the Washington Christmas Parade this Friday December 7th. Please meet at the NW corner of Franklin and Chestnut Street (Immaculate Conception Church) between 6:15 and 6:30. Once we figure out where we can park the float, we'll all walk there and climb aboard. The parade starts at 7:00, and we are lined up in the middle. Please plan to pick up your scout at the Chapman Corporation loading dock at the conclusion of the parade (331 S Main St, Washington, PA 15301). Wear cold weather clothing with your scouts' neckerchief, slide, and hat visible. No Class A shirts required.
We are going to build the parade float on Thursday, December 6th at 6:30 PM at Master Woodcraft (100 Stationvue, Washington, PA 15301), which is right next door to the Trolley Museum. Please bring a bag or two of candy and a staple gun. Although I'll encourage all scouts to come help, too many small kiddos and we end up getting too rowdy and hurt. Feel free to sit this one out if you think your scout could be the rowdy one.
I'm also in need of 2-3 parent to help pick up all the parade float "stuff" from it's storage location TUESDAY evening around 5:45. Please let me know if you can help out ASAP.
Float deconstruction is Sunday at Master Woodcraft at 1:00. Again, adults and kids-that-are-able-to-help are needed.
This will be our last event for 2018!
Thanks,
Nick Hornbeck
