this page about Honda S2000 FAQ, issues and etc
Make no mistake - S2000 clutch in good condition feels very light, very smooth, easy to operate and grabs pretty low.
If your pedal grabs high and operates hard or/and not smooth - something is wrong with it !!!
High grabbing clutch is a sign for significant wear of the clutch.
The pedal actually can be adjusted - but of course it doesn't mean that clutch becomes new.
In this situation it can die anytime - it may work for another year OR it may start slipping tomorrow...
If pedal is not smooth - take out slave cylinder and polish out the "dot"/"ball" that growth on and grease it.
The dot growth big even at 30,000 miles / 50,000km.
This makes pedal very smooth and nice.
"Sticky clutch pedal" - what is it?
This is situation when pedal feels stuck in upper position and you need to press harder to overcome it. It feels like the pedal has notch/step at the first movement.
Stickiness might appear only under heavy load or/and high revs shifting.
"Sticky pedal" is a sign for dying release bearing and/or pressure plate and/or friction disc.
In other words - the clutch is dying.
