$300 Damage Deposit - refundable
(Usually refunded within two days, but may take up to 2 weeks if we are unable to get up to the cottage for a couple of weeks after you leave)
The following will be deducted from your damage deposit:
Driving off of the marked driveway and designated parking areas with Vehicle or ATV ($25 minimum, additional according to damage)
Dog feces left on the ground ($5/pile) (please collect and bury dog feces, not in the outhouse)
Cigarette butts on the ground or full ashtrays ($5 and up, depending on how gross and how much time it takes to pick up)
Careless damage to furniture or building (at cost) (Please repair, accidental damage and wear will not be charged)
Missing items (at cost)
House firewood used in campfire $25/armload (in house firewood is provided free). Please do not use house firewood for your campfire. Campfire wood is abundantly available in the bush for you to collect.
Wilfull damage of vegetation (plants, trees, grass, flowers) on the cottage lot. ($25 minimum, additional according to damage). This includes oversize campfires burning the ground.
Garbage, diapers $15/bag/each
Excessive cleaning requirements - It is expected that the cottage will be left relatively clean and tidy, taking into account one weeks use. We expect to change linens, vacuum, clean kitchen surfaces etc. - anything additional will be charged at $50/hr labour (ie dishes, chairs left out, major tidying)
We hope to always return your damage deposit in full.
